What will I need to know to get this job?
• A degree or similar qualifications
• 2+ years of project management experience within an IT or online agency environment
• Experience interfacing with clients and managing client expectations
• Creating project briefing, planning and functional specification documents for website projects
• Experience in creating and maintaining project plans using MS Project
• Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to specification and budget
• End to end project testing and delivery sign-off
• Plan, track, control and provide feedback to the client and the Operations Director on a projects progress
• A good knowledge of the terminology and technical aspects related to internet technologies. Ideally (but not mandatory), you need to understand what most of the following terms mean and in what context to use them: Content Management Systems (CMS); Databases; ASP.Net; PHP; HTML; jQuery; AJAX; SQL Server; Flash; Mobile platforms; API’s; SEO; and Website Hosting
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Prepared to travel, if necessary
Key Skills
• MS Project & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – are essential
• Understanding of internet technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, .NET)
• Understanding of CMS products like Umbraco (very advantageous); Episerver; Wordpress; Drupal
• Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Email Marketing experience using bulk mailing platforms i.e. Mail Chimp etc
What will I do every day?
You will be responsible for the daily management of various client projects that includes website CMS builds, mobile application development, microsite campaigns, Facebook campaign development and more.
You will work closely with the client and 3rd party agencies to ensure successful management and delivery of your projects. The Operations Director will oversee your projects to ensure the quality and fulfilment of products and services. It is essential that you understand internet technologies and terminology and the workflow of a typical digital project lifecycle. You will have experience in project planning, project management, client expectation management, risk management and pressure situation management.
