Dirty money deals exposed

The Zondo commission has heard how Denel declined to share information on its technical requirements for combat vehicles so other companies could bid for project Hoefyster.

Armscor, the state weaponry enterprise had issued a tender to have 200 combat vehicles built. Denel won the contract on the basis that it had created the design specifications for the vehicles.

Had they put in the correct security, behavioural analysis, proper project verifications etc, this might not have transpired. But hey, let's do it our way, "we can be trusted".

“It’s just completely unacceptable. How can something that has been required in 2012 and had been promised to be delivered in 2012, eight years later, have not been delivered?”

“Why is this situation allowed to continue? Has anybody been fired for not doing their job? Has anything happened? It’s just unthinkable.
We have we heard this before (missing deadlines by years)?
Medupi?
Kusile?
Asbestogate?
Zuma Court Dates?

This whole "blame the Guptas and Zuma" thing is getting old. Its the ANC to blame and no one else.
Im really tired of them trying to act like its a company under new ownership trying to right the wrongs of previous ownership.

Somewhat related (since Denel seems to be a hot potato topic lately):

It is estimated that more than 200 local companies have been negatively impacted by Denel's predicament.
The decision to piss away R10.5b on SAA will have far reaching consequences not only for SOEs like Denel, but also for creditors of those SEOs.

Agreed they where warned and had 4+ chances but still supported the criminals and there can only be one reason and that's because they are involved

Usual tactic along with emergency and late notices. See this crap everywhere so not sure how this shocking or new.

As I mentioned before, some even lift a particular product details knowing all to well that there is only on supplier who can meet it presently.. then delay it such that a tenderpreneur picks up order via supplier catching the supplier out as they don’t scrub tender bulletins etc.

Usual stuff..nothing new
