Dis-Chem discloses data breach of 3.7 million client records

Had some money siphoned from my card a few days ago before blocking and had aggressive SMS spam recently, some of which even passed my filter, might be a coincidence but no surprise to what the most likely cause was when I saw the news today

It says the list contain email address etc. Does not say that it is limited to that.
Oh so by YOUR logic the breach also contains naked pictures of you...your bankstatements...your grandma's recipes and your children's school reports....and another Zapruder film of the Kennedy assassination.

Stop talking kak please...

Dischem is not exactly a poor Company - how come they cannot get the best-of-the-best when it comes to data protection. I mean Wtf?!

Why not go sell them best then.

i wonder if the security breaches have anything to do with security sw companies fighting for market share

You will be amazed how much your medical aid will actually tell your employer without your knowledge. Many a company sponsored employer will tell your boss, if there is a risk to the company.
I will be amazed. If you can tell me one instance of data sharing around health issues and a medical scheme and an employer I would like to know because that is illegal as heck.
