Redistributing the pie into ever decreasing sizes, until nobody has enough pie, rather than just making a bigger pie?

Sounds legit.
You said it perfectly. Since ANC took over.. for 30 years they have been shrinking the pie. The voters need to catch a wake up.. but nope. It's easier to blame the evil white man than actually producing results (electricity, water, service delivery).

With ANC it will never end. They have shown us , with Eskom, they rather have SA sit in the dark, job losses etc than actually forgo their racist AA and BEE laws.

And AdR , told us all that our electricity is to cheap. Read between the lines... he is telling you , we all going to be funding their BEE tenders and over staffed shop. Squirrel tied his hands... he can't let go of people, or cancel contracts. So prices will increase till they can make up their targets.. a nice F.You all SA.

Imagine my horror when this law came as a junior pharm:crying:.

Then they sold the ownership of pharmacies to non pharmacists

Thus our salaries took a huge nose dive. They pay them like tablet counters so they will get tablet counters

Much of the work is tablet counting.

In the old days, and I had a relative who was a pharmacist in another life, they'd compound many things, taken orally, topically, rectally, etc.

Now it's do you want a generic or the original?

And most of the time is spent on them trying to locate your profile on their system.

It's much more complex than that. Yes it's true most are commercial and we don't compound as much as these days.

Though you have to work in a pharmacy to understand.

I very rarely count myself I have assistants for that.

If your Dr is good you won't see much happening because there wouldn't be a need to intervene.

Well. I had a patient who was HIV positive and on medication. Went to an orthopedic specialist for some issue then the Ortho prescribed some meds but the patient did not disclose to the Dr they on treatment for HIV so I flagged it because the drug the Ortho prescribed interacts with the ARV. Then had to sort all that out.

Things like that.

We also still make alot of things. Especially for dermatologists, oncologists, ophthalmologists and urologists.

My job is getting more difficult with all the countries woes. A lot of medicines are out of stock at supplier then I have to find options present it to the Dr who then throws a tantrum like toddler.

Like I'm suppose to go into some enchanted forest and find the magical tree the medicine grows on and get it lol

If a black person and a white person have the same competency, what should the business owner look at next? The long-term benefits? The person's character? Their age?

Why was black South Africans under apartheid richer and better off than any other black people in Africa?
That sounds like a variation on the look at the rest of Africa nonsense that was popular with the National Party nitwits and people who kept voting for them while they ran the country into the ground.
