I live in a major metro. Probably 5 different pharmacies within 5km from different brands.
4 shopping centers within 5 km.
Groceries I have access to a family run business, Meat the same.
I am starting to really think where I spend my money. Even if the alternative is slightly more expensive.

This is wider than just Dischem. Think about rates and taxes where effectively you get f all for what you give.
Think Solar. Think alternative water solutions.

The farmers Co-op sells diesel, petrol, gas and paraffin. Time for you to travel out of your comfort zone in Gauteng and see the rest of the country you have never seen isn't actually what you think it's like.

That's what I thought, but he was being cagey so I was starting to think there was some none BEE fuel refinery going on in the Karoo. I am of course obliged to report such things so I was hoping to wrestle some details out of him.

It's okay if he is still filling the Hilux with approved fuel from one of the the BEE suppliers.

There are no running refineries in South Africa. All is imported
That is why there was a lot of laughter when some gov minister wanted to buy cheap russian crude
