I think so. You need a good cup of coffee with some fruity flavours. This is fruitless.

To authenticate an online purchase I only have to log in to my banking app and press Yes. No need to key in some random pin.
You can make both the same.So no PIN that stays the same? (which is what you said happens). And thus nothing to do with remembering a card PIN? (what was your point there then)
Oh, and I have been with Capitec since 2008 noob.
You can make both the same.
Mine stays the same every time. You should move to a proper bank.

Not me, i bank with Std so there's always lots of ATM's around. I was talking about the people banking with Capitec and judging by the queues, they're too poor to pay the fee, which is not helped when there's an ATM ratio of 1:5 compared to other banks.
I didn't even know there was a risk to tap to pay, if there is even a real risk. I haven't used my bank card in a few weeks, loaded the card onto my watch and now it stays in the car, I don't even carry my wallet anymore.
Worst is when you want to just tap, but they force you to insert.
That's not right.
No, not remembering my pin because I haven't used it in such a long time is what kills me.
Exactly! But generally I rely on muscle memory for numbers.
Bigger concern for me is someone stealing your phone at gun/ knife point and requesting your banking app log in details. Now they have access to bank account and can auth transactions. Who carry’s the risk here? You or the bank? Let’s say they change withdrawal limits etc.
I have 3, will that also work?Bit of useful info for the few of you who are genuinely worried about this. If you keep 2 NFC enabled cards in your wallet (I'm sure you have several), the card readers / skimmers can't differentiate between them and will fail to read. (You can test this on legit devices too - it's just a limitation of the tech. )
This should even work with your old, expired card as a secondary.

2 work access cards and bank card.
As far as I know as long as you have at least 2 it "confuses" the reader as it can't differentiate between the signals. You can probably test it by holding all 3 together and try to tap them on your phone and see if they pick up. I've done that with 2 and my phone gave an error. (you need an NFC app obviously. And a non-iPhone)I have 3, will that also work?

So why does the work access card still work with bank card next to itAs far as I know as long as you have at least 2 it "confuses" the reader as it can't differentiate between the signals.
