I'm not having any problems in Cape Town, but maby its already been resolved?
Actually never had bad connections yet, only down once for maintenance, sounds like some peoples iburst connections really suck.

Had a long disconnect last night. After 1h00. For more than 90 min. And possibly longer seeing as I went to sleep with the connection still down.

Incident report indicates that the network will go down periodically between 12am and 3am until 31/12/05:

We will be implementing a series of network upgrades over the next two months. These upgrades will be phased in over the coming weeks and have been scheduled so as to minimise network disruptions. We have reserved a maintenance window each Thursday from 12:00am to 3:00am for the implementation of the upgrades. During the maintenance window, network outages may be experienced.

Do you guys have to reset the modem every time it goes down.I am in Somerset West and are having a bad spell this morning.Up and down.when it goes down I can see it getting a new ip every 2 seconds.Nothing works untill I power down the modem. Then it seems to pick up an Ip for about half an hour.

yes though it has stabalised now.

Disconnections are the biggest problem with my iburst, constantly drops and such. Using IM and IRC is frustrating.

Same

The past week I've been disconected so many times, something I've never experienced with iBurst. If they were/are doing upgrades...wouldn't it be nice to email the effected clients, so that they can expect it and understand it when it occurs.
