What device is this?

Apple Watch. Im returning it tomorrow, seriously disappointed in it. As a watch and all the rest its great but as a fitness tracker for gym its rubbish.

Ill see if I can post some of my workout graphs, but during my workouts my heart rate will go up to as much as 170 then drop down to 60 all in the space of a minute.

On facebook Discovery posted an update but I'm confused. Did they change the HR limits or just state what the standard is?

Well...
5. Why – and on what scientific basis – have you changed the heart rate levels?
Our clinical guidelines are based on the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommendations. As the largest sports medicine and exercise science organisation in the world, ACSM guidelines are globally one of the most credible sources around exercise prescription.
Our prior recommendation of 60% for moderate and 70% for vigorous was below the ACSM recommendations and not fully aligned with Vitality’s targeted clinical outcomes. As our ability to track clinically relevant and verifiable data has improved, we have updated our heart rate workout recommendations to fall more in line with the international standard of moderate heart rate (fairly light to somewhat hard) being 64-75% and vigorous (somewhat hard to very hard) being 76-96%.

So is moderate now 64-75% and vigorous 76-96% or is it still 70-80 and 80%+?

Actually if they revise it to 65-74% for moderate and 75%+ or vigorous I would be okay with it. Not happy, just content.

It does seem like it.

Disco says their guidelines are based on ACSM yet they still decided to define their own moderate (70 to 80%) and vigorous zones.

Polar Loop plus the H7 starts a workout when you clip on the H7, so too bad for you if you want to warm up. Either no warm up or else lift up your top where ever you may be to clip it on only once you are warmed up.

Or once warmed up run to the change rooms and then run like hell to get back to the weights area to start exercising at 96% of max HR. And if someone slows you down by using your equipment yell at them for slowing down your heart rate... :whistling:

There should be a control on the left of the screen. With 5 empty stars. Clicking on it should open the dialog to give them a rating.

Can one only review them once? Or did they remove the capability to review them? :p

This whole debacle is a free marketing opportunity for competitors to steal some market share

Only once. You can go back and edit your review, or delete it, and redo it. The edit review allows you to change your rating of them. So if you have rated them good in the past, just edit your review and change it to bad, and update the review text.

I see their rating changed from 2.9 to 2.8 from yesterday to today.

A bit silly.

Cant the H7 like the Muvit HRM belt, have the transmitter unclip from the belt?
So then you put on the belt before hand, and then as soon as you ready to start, just clip the transmitter on to the belt under your shirt?
If it was me, I wouldnt run back to the bathroom. Waste of time :p

The unit itself does unclip from the belt, but I think one would still have to expose one's midriff to clip it on. I suppose one more reason to work on those hidden six pack abs...

What I do is.
The sensor has 2 clips so i clip in 1 and when i start my work out clip in the second over my t shirt.
When done clip out 1 from over t shirt. I actually do it to save the battery life.
