Hi all

I have the Afrihost supplied DLink DIR825 on a 40Mb fibre line. I have a suspicion that this router is underperforming, but cannot find CPU or RAM utilisation stats in the interface, nor line speed utilisation. Does anyone happen to know where to find this info on the router management pages?

TIA

A lot of the web ui's provided with routers are basically crippleware.

How are you connected to router? Via cable or WiFi?

If via WiFi, you can check what speed your device is connected to router on the status....wireless .

Your internet speed will be slower than the speed you are connected to the wireless in all cases

Crippleware hehe...

The interface is terrible. It's nothing like your screenshot. I'm not looking for the wifi speed, looking for the line utilisation of my fibre.

As an example, let's say I'm streaming a video and it's buffering (for the sake of this example, let's just assume the only issues could be with the router itself or line utilisation, I know it's not the device I am watching on is not an issue). So I'd like to log onto the router, check what is the utilisation of my line as well as resources being consumed by the router to identify where the bottleneck is.

I can't find this on the UI, any thoughts?

Unlikely you'll find that data in the GUI.

If it allows telnet or ssh you might have better luck.

Have used an Asus and an older DLink before, who both had this in the GUI. Thank you for trying.
