DNS /VPN Question

Have been trying to get my Unotelly DNS working for some time now. All was well when I was on Telkom 3G Sim
had to get rid of as costing to much for the Data. Currently using Level-7 No problems with downloads and uploads.
Just can't get the DNS working. Contacted Unotelly they suggested trying their VPN service signed up for that without success every time I open the VPS it starts then disconnects. Contacted Unotelly who tried my settings from their end and told me it works. So back to square one. I tried Private Tunnel on a trial and that seemed to work. So i'm wondering what's holding back my DNS/VPN ?.
