There are some very strange hypothesis on black holes. I am not sure if there is anything that has worked its way up to the class of a scientific theory yet.

By all accounts black holes can't contain people at all, well not in a state that you would be able to identify them as "people"

Nor would they be able to be clever. Not unless the super-compression of the atoms in their brains lead to super human thought capabilities. But I never heard of anyone being smarter after having their skulls crushed into the size of a pinhead.
