does the HD PVR give u two or three tv streams? (i.e one main, 2 remote/rooms or 1+1 like the PVR)?

I'm also tempted, just that I will have to get twin LNB's too. checked out the price at Zakspeed and its scary, plus a splitter, and then I have to run HDMI throughout so I'll need an HDMI switch or HDMI switching amp for the other devices.

I just fear this will be another "speedboat" story At least for now.

Sorry, no. The HD PVR is only for one room. if you want to have Dstv in another room you have to add another decoder. This is called Xtra view. It means you can watch two diffrent channels at the same time and have all features on both tv's instead of having all features andon one tv and just be able to see tv channels on the other. It costs the same as the sd pvr ie subscribtion plus R50.
