Hi,

Am planning to import a product that will use wifi within the house to connect the various peripherals to the router - all within the same house.

Would I need to get the product an ICASA license; and if so - what type of license do I apply for and how do I go about doing it.

Haven;t had much joy looking through the ICASA website.

Thanks :)

You need to ensure that the device has ICASA Type approval.

You don't need an ICASA license. The license is only needed when you are planning to build a commercial business running on the open spectrum (2.4Ghz or 5.8ghz). This is especially true if crossing public roads.

Additionally just make sure your equipment is ICASA compliant (as daffy said) as ICASA is now taking steps to confiscate illegal equipment
