quick question -

do you get a 80mm x 80mm x 20mm case fan?

Most of the ones i've seen are 25mm thick.

I want to put a fan in the front but a 25mm fan doesn't cut it even if I move my HDD to the max offset position. A 20mm fan would do the trick.

Thanks

How many fans do you have in your pc?

/me counts mine...6... 80x80mm fans, 2 in front, 3 at back, 1 on top/
(oh, fan on cpu, PSU & graphics card = 9)

Actually dont have any additional fans except

a) CPU fan
b) Graphics card fan
c) PSU fan (exhaust)
d) Small chipset fan on motherboard.

I definitely need to put in a fan or two!

Thinking of installing the following:

One fan in front (intake) (80mm Vantec or similar 15mm thick)
One fan adjacent to PSU (exhaust) (92mm Stealth Vantec)

Comments?

Afternoon SDD, my one supplier has a Zalman 80mm that is 15mm thick, R120 and I can deliver it to you tomorrow. Can also get you a 92mm Antec TriCool for R110, you can adjust the speed on that one to make it very quiet. PM or e-mail me if you are interested.

yang , thats about the temps (60C full load) i run at on the gfx card and i think it is a bit high.

i am hoping that the additional of the extra fans especially the front intake fans will cool things down a bit.

your temps look good.

Actually the GFX card can run safe on a very high temp. nvidia GF 6600GT always runs at 90 full load in summer, and nvidia think it is safe. Now ATI R1900XTX can get over 80 and X1600XT also can get 90, ATI said under 100 is safe~
