Thats because many parents think because you are their kid, you stay a kid and they need to think for you. And they think they are much older and wiser. I get along with my parents, better with my mom tho. My dad's a control freak. My in-laws is okay, just like to borrow money every second month. And that p1sses me so much.

Had the same problem, mom-in-law rearranged our whole frikken house once while we were out of town...I nearly had a stroke when I got home...but we get along ok now...for now.

I pissed her off rather badly once with a silly coment when we were visiting once..I said. "When I get up at night to take a pi$$, I come back and my bed is made". She's a control+neat freak...

I get along with my dad ok, we have big fights quite often, but I'm european and eldest, so everything falls on my shoulders, or so we are led to believe. My mother passed away in 2001 unfortunately.

I get along with my father in law to be extremely well, we've already started a business together and it's going well. He's actually in Zambia with me right now. He lost his wife last year, so it's just him.

I had a fall out with the mother in law and now I just tolerate her
