I've lived in a commune before and I now live alone, don't really know which one is better. I enjoyed the party life when I was younger, but now I actually prefer having my own place with my own rules. I don't really get lonely, a lot of the time I just stay home over the weekends alone and have no problems with it, other times I go out to friends and have no problem with that either. I guess I am just easy going :D It all comes down to what type of person you are I think, some people just cannot go a minute without talking to their friends and planning their weekends - I'm not one of those :p

I've lived on my own for many years and I also talk to myself, but to me it's not a problem... sometimes it's the most intelligent conversation I have all day. :D

Seriously, though, in the last year or so, going out or doing stuff by myself has lost most of its appeal, even though it never used to bother me. Suddenly I just prefer to have company, even if I'm not doing anything in particular.

It's interesting that what we need, or think we need, just sometimes changes for no apparent reason. :)

Yes... And at those get togethers you guys can discuss setting up a meet for the lonely
Joburgers, then we can all meet up for a lonely SA group, and then it will just get ridiculous and we will end up getting sued by lonely planet for one thing or another!
