My condolences, be strong you will make it through this trying time.My girlfriend's grandmother past away around a month ago now. She had an abdominal pain, was sent back and forth to the hospital but ultimately the docs said she's too old to undergo any op. The older family members insisted though and pushed for an op, a few hours after coming out of surgery she had organ failure and was simultaneously diagnosed with covid. She died a few hours later, the docs have said it's covid that ultimately caused her life to end.
My dad's uncle passed away around a week ago now from covid, had all the usual symptoms and was eventually taken to the makeshift hospital at the CTICC, was put on a ventilator but ultimately succumbed to the disease. His husband has also tested positive and is currently in the same hospital. We are being told that he might not make it as well. Not really sure if I'd want to come out alive myself, they were together for 60 odd years so I can't imagine having to face a new day without my partner.

So a car accident would fall under 2)?I don't understand the OP's need for or insistence upon an Autopsy.
If the person had tested positive for COVID19 and was being treated for respiratory failure.... then dies.
The doctor is just going to put "Died due to Natural Causes" on his death certificate.
They don't put COVID19 on your death certificate.
I did some research on this one, and confirmed with my doctor that the only valid descriptions on a death certificate is (1) Natural Causes (2) Non-Natural Causes and (3) Under investigation. He said they would never put COVID as a description on a death certificate as they don't EVER list the actual disease on the death certificate. He says if someone tells you that it happened to them, then you should please ask them to show you a copy of the death certificate.
Not sure there's such figures. There are some numbers in the WC thread about deaths Vs co-morbidities. Apparently obesity becomes a real concern when BMI goes above 40. I know of one person who would be considered obese who recovered recently but they were not that big.Does anyone have a mortality rate calculated ONLY on morbidity?
I.e if you're overweight/obese do you DEFINITELY die of COVID? Or is just that your risk is X% higher and if so what is that percentage? I don't know if that is calculated yet but I imagine so many months into it they should have a pretty good idea by now?
Can the progression be that rapid? My brother in law's mom passed away Thursday. She was rushed to the hospital Sunday morning because she fell. Her sugar was 20+ and they discharged her from the hospital Sunday evening saying she was stable and she passed the Covid19 screening. Monday she started coughing, and by Wednesday night was rushed back to the hospital with breathing complications. She passed on Thursday due to lung failure. We are still awaiting the Covid19 test results.
We suspect she contracted Covid19 on Sunday when she was in the hospital.
Thank you man.Condolences
