For those of us with digital voice assistants such as Siri, Alexa, the inspiringly named Google Assistant, etc... do you catch yourself thanking it when they perform a task?

Conversely have you ever caught yourself berating them when they fail to properly do so?

I have words with Alexa when she gets it wrong (happens often) but no point arguing beyond that.

The kids think it's hilarious though.

I've shocked, and probably amused, my kids with some colourful language directed a Alexa.

I always say please and thank you to Siri, still think it’s weird but...
I think it’s less about the fact it’s a computer program and more about my personality, showing appreciation for something else doing something for me.

I thank my dogs for listening to me when I send them to their crate, sit, go to their spots or simply heel on a walk. Those three words are just baked into my being.

You need a speech therapist

nope, even in a foreign language, just keeps saying, I couldn't understand you,

Siri and all these assistants all act the same around me, never pick up correctly what im saying.
You need to start saying please and thank you.

I usually say thank you. Not please since she exists to serve us, I feel please is a mute point - she doesn’t have the option to decline you request.
