Do you see 4G+ or 4G with Rain?

Unzip that. I'm assuming you have a windows pc.

Edit huawei_band_tool_config.txt with the correct username, password and router ip address.

Run this one LTE_2600_TDD.bat

That will force the router to the 2600MHz band only. LTE_1800.bat for 1800MHz band only these are the 2 bands Rain support. See which one give you the best speed.

Run LTE_ALL.bat if you decide to activate all bands again.

Thanks to @Yuu for the link to the tool. Works very well actually compared to the huawei toolbox for the B315. :)
The download link no longer works:crying::crying::crying:, is there anywhere it was uploaded? I just bought this b618 router and it's disappointing compared to my Archer AC1350 MR400 from Tp-Link. Please let me know if you have it uploaded elsewhere because I'm getting 6Mbps down and 0.81 up.:crying:

Thanks buddy, but I guess this router is just not for me. It didn't make much of a difference, though it was from 6Mbps to 12Mbps down and from 0.86 to 1.76Mbps. I'm in Auckland Park and hopefully it will do better in Tshwane since I'll be there full time from next month. Thanks for the upload though.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

2600 isn't supported by my tower, so I have to deal with a tower that gets congested in its moer then on top of that Rain support is non existent but they'll happily collect money from me every month.

Same. I find between 6pm and 11pm it's 99% of the time fast... but out of that time when the uncapped kicks in, people starts raping the network..

How do one undo the changes done by using this tool if the outcome isnt favorable?
Run LTE_ALL.bat

or just log into the router via an internet browser and then just force it to 3G Only mode and then after a few seconds back to 4G Only mode again.

Just another quick question, since it seems you know quite a lot. My Rain connection shows full signal bars when login into web but my connection drops every few minutes but only for a second or so. You wouldn't see it in day to day tasks, but in gaming that could mean a disconnect. Any idea what could cause it?

Something on Rain side. A couple of people have been complaining about that but if the signal stats look good the disconnections aren't signal related.

SINR 10 dB
RSRQ - 11 dB
RSRP - 98dBm
Not the best, but not sure how to make it better, currently using a 618-22
Would changing the band help?
