Do you think local government elections should take place this year amidst the Covid-19 pandemic?

Yes. We can predict the covid waves better for the next few months than we can for February next year.

If people reslise we can break constitutional provisions, then next time they'll be trying to delay elections because of obesity epidemic or something.

definitely agree, and if the majority still votes for the current goverment you know all hope is lost after everything that has happened.

Yes, many elections have taken place amidst the pandemic. It's no more risk than going to a shopping mall. If a party needs to campaign for your vote they haven't done enough to deserve your vote.

With the way this year has been going, it might be the ideal time for an election, perhaps we can get the and below 45%.

Yes, and make mail-in ballots an option for everyone. Fill one in at home, drop it off at the nearest election center at your own convenience.

Don't use SAPO, obviously.

Yes, because then the recent cock-ups of the government is still fresh in the memories of the people.

these questions remind me of something a primary school girl would ask

Is murder bad? do cars pollute?

Yes.
All these excuses about why it shouldn't take place are because the ANC frogs are feeling the boil and are hoping the electorate's goldfish memory serves them after keDezemba.

The ANC and EFF have had several large political rallies during the rise of the "3rd Wave" without any fallout whatsoever, so citing Covid as a concern is irrelevant.
