We hold "Church" every 2 weeks or so. Permissible to substitute the "blood" with beer or whatever instead of wine if you wish, and the "body" with braai and salads, etc instead of the flatbread.

If you haven't visited family or friends it's because you don't really like them, not because of daft government regulations.

If people are crammed into taxis going to work every day I don't see how debating whether you should visit friends or family is in any way relevant. It's like worrying whether the barn windows are closed while the doors are wide open.

Not that I think any of these measures will now make much difference as the virus is clearly endemic already, given that the sampling for the vaccine test found over 20% of candidates already had antibodies. It now makes far more sense for people who are especially vulnerable to voluntarily isolate themselves where possible and let the rest of the world carry on as normal.

Like a lot of these ridiculous rules made by this council this one make absolutely no sense you can travel in a taxi at 100% capacity with a bunch of strangers but you can’t visit family what a joke this is turning into & not a funny one

i maintain what I said from day 1. The best thing this government could have done , is nothing. Just do what you do best. Why change now?

Cyril could have been the least destructive president SA had, all he had to do was nothing. Couldn't even get that right.

Yes, but with great care.
People with elderly relatives should be able to visit them, but with proper screening. It would be safer to meet with them in safe conditions, with proper screening, than meeting them in a restaurant.

Do you have a source for this, I am quite interested in reading up on this. Could not find anything on google

No, I do not want to visit family. This gives me a good reason not to.

we are consenting adults FFS. We should be allowed to make this decision on our own. If you are worried or if someone in your household has a co-morbidity you don't have to socialise.

Yes. During these hard times, gathering with family and friends is the only thing that keeps us going and healthy inside and out.

Yes, it's been almost 4 months, enough is enough now. I mean my house is big enough to have a 5m gap between people if I wanted which is more than a taxi.
Or you could catch a taxi with 9 of your closest friends just make sure you open a window
