He’s basically saying that it’s better for the government to literally let people starve to death rather than providing taxpayer-funded public assistance. I don’t see how Democratic socialism can possibly be any worse than this libertarian nightmare
Here is Bernie and friends praising the USSR.
I don’t have a clip of Bernie praising the gulags, but I’m sure there must be one somewhere.

You need to stop getting babysitted by an overpowering entity if you want to take control of your own life.

I'm serious about that actually since government never has the funds for their entire population and lives off the population's funds. This is not heading backwards its the enablement of individual well being. The conservative mind set.

No you can't rid functioning societies from government but you should for certain stop viewing government as caretakers.

You do have rights you know that right?

I would say no, the US has had its fill of Trump but it's more a case of who would best him. Democrats are talking about Trump as are Republicans. Nobody is talking about the alternatives.

Yes,

US is no different to SA. Unless there is a financial collapse (well they buying every stock they can to prevent it) they will vote for him again.

People that bring in socialism & libertarian constructs as arguments miss the point like they do here.. no one cares. What people do care about is quality of life.. and this is why SA is failing as we have failed to address it a big enough manner for it to allow high brow debates.

Similarly & much like in the UK you have mass pockets of who vote based on what they see, hear, feel and touch. Media fell into the trap and when you have a populist narcissist like Trump you need a serious event to happen for a rethink. It doesn’t look like it will this year but consequence are lining up.

Yes. The same reason that the Tories won in the UK: the Left have alienated, ignored and forgotten the people they were meant to represent. And just like Labour supporters who switched, a lot of the ex-Democrats have probably been scared off by the new far Left/communist/socialist rhetoric of their party putting everyone but America first.

Democrats admitted that the whole reason behind the impeachment is to stop Trump from becoming president again.People have jobs again. When a parent can put food on the table again after being on food stamps for decades, it makes a big difference. Trump is loud and obnoxious, don't know much about geography ,but he seem to get things done.

Under Donald Trump the U.S. economy is booming, America is great again. Only a left wing retard woukd wish him away, and that is not going to happen, when looking at the pitiful offerings of the Dem's.

The biggest con Trump pulled was convincing people that America was not 'great' before he came along.

God I hope not, but he probably will.
American voters seem currently have same IQ as SA voters,

There are various measures to suggest life has got worse for certain groups of people, especially the white working class, over time (e.g. Working class white Americans are now dying in middle age at faster rates than minority groups). Trump was tapping into that. Of course, it must also be noted that the US was the undisputed superpower after 1945 and since the early 2000s, they are being challenged by China. Some people don't like to accept their country as losing influence in the world.

He is not a natural-born-citizen. So he cannot be President.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was reported as considering challenging the prevailing interpretation of the clause. In 2003, Senator Orrin Hatch unsuccessfully put forth the Equal Opportunity to Govern Amendment, intending to allow eligibility for Arnold Schwarzenegger.[41] In October 2013, the New York Post reported that Schwarzenegger—who is originally from Austria and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1983, also retaining Austrian citizenship—was exploring a future run for the American presidency. He reportedly lobbied legislators about a possible constitutional change, or filing a legal challenge to the provision. Cornell University law professor Michael C. Dorf observed that Schwarzenegger's possible lawsuit could ultimately win him the right to run for the office, noting, "The law is very clear, but it’s not 100 percent clear that the courts would enforce that law rather than leave it to the political process".[225] Schwarzenegger subsequently denied that he was running.

Which is why you don't vote for socialism.

This is why the UK overwhelmingly rejected labour and their communist social democratic/ progressive manifesto.
