Do you use free, open Wi-Fi hotspots at local shopping malls? Do you trust these public hotspots?

Tried a few times to use the one here at the mall it was horrible slow slower than dail-up.

There many of us that will use an open Wi-Fi hotspot under certain conditions and when needed.

I answered No because I do not routinely use any unknown connection, regardless of what type it is, but will do so for very specific reasons and in emergencies.

I only use the Telkom ones (1_Telkom Connect or something)

The open free ones are not my cup of tea...

No, too much of a hassle to log in all the time etc etc for a possible 10min at the mall

Too much effort. I won't use a hotspot with a logon portal.

I hate it. Too long to log in & dismal speeds.

Yeah, having to log in really puts me off them.

It was so refreshing when I was China to be able to just connect to a wifi hotspot with zero fuss and get good speeds to.
