Exactly.What facts? Where?
Exactly.What facts? Where?
1) He was an external applicant. Quite possibly headhunted because he misrepresented his experience in addition to his academic credentials. A vetting process would have cleared this up. Was there even an interview? On paper, he was probably the top candidate (PhD in engineering, extensive experience in design and manufacturing, etc).OK where did you call me out, and what is wrong with that statement? Do you disagree with it and why?
All you did was troll, is that your way of calling people to order....really?

2) I brought Marietha into the argument to point out the absurdity of your post.
BS!
He was employed because, firstly, he was a black individual, and secondly because he misrepresented his experience.
That is what BEE is all about.
As per info available at the time, who else possessed a PhD from TÜM and experience gained from German engineering/logistics companies amongst the applicants? Any employer would have shortlisted him based on what he presented alone.BS!

Chances are that he wasn't even interviewed as everyone was impressed by what he presented on paper. An interview would have exposed his fraudulent claims. Not picking a side here, just gonna say that it is rather pointless debating how/why he was appointed without having been privy to the conversations that was had.
Everyone is gonna debate out of their own biases, and there is never gonna be "winning" argument.
Lol...some employers might have double checked to make sure no porkies were thrown in the mix....As per info available at the time, who else possessed a PhD from TÜM and experience gained from German engineering/logistics companies amongst the applicants? Any company would have shortlisted him based on his academic achievements and experience alone, which proved to be fraudulent.
Dude, it's Prasa, and they employ strictly BEE. It is as obvious as daylight that he got in because of the color of his skin...Not picking a side here, just gonna say that it is rather pointless debating how/why he was appointed without having been privy to the conversations that was had.

Dont waste your time mate. TIA...Dude, it's Prasa, and they employ strictly BEE. It is as obvious as daylight that he got in because of the color of his skin...
It is really not about winning an argument for me, but about pointing out racism and discrimination!

Some would have. Others don't.Lol...some employers might have double checked to make sure no porkies were thrown in the mix....
Seems others not so much....

I did touch in this point before someone brought colour into the mix. PRASA CEO at the time, as well as relevant execs are guilty here. The issue is that nobody did any sort of verification on his qualifications, and one would assume that should be standard practice for hiring anyone at his level (or even a person just claiming to be an Engineer)...
I've never ever been offered a job without going through a qualification verification exercise.
They operate, like all state-owned organizations, it is obvious what process was followed or wasn't followed.Meh. Whether they do or don't. In this case, it's speculation. The only thing that is being pointed out here, is biases, as there is no way of knowing the process that was or wasn't followed.
At least this dude faked some credentials and didn't get job purely cause his sister spent a night at Nkandla or something.
Any employer, you say?!
Most employers would've done a background check, but we are talking about a state institution here. All they care about is the color of your skin and if a family member can somehow benefit out of the deal, and that's it!
If I'm a recruiter and I see qualifications like that, the very FIRST thing I would do is to do a check...
I fail to understand how you wouldnt check that someone of this 'calibre' actually has legit qualifications...Some would have. Others don't.
A little over 8% of full time employees are white, of which approx 89% are male.Dude, it's Prasa, and they employ strictly BEE. It is as obvious as daylight that he got in because of the color of his skin...
