Hi guys

I'm looking to get a new family car and I really like the Dodge Journey 3.6 R/T 2013.

Can anyone tell me what the after sales service is like?

Thanks!

I think it's a decent left-field option if you can stomach the fuel bills.

Nice car, but it will be heavy on fuel. We are running out of fuel you know...

I sold them briefly until I couldn't take selling cars to people whom I knew would be unhappy in the first month.

Heavy on fuel, great on spec, but just an American lump in the end.

BTW if you need to change your battery, you have to jack the car up, remove the left front wheel, sit on your bum and then try and wiggle it out - not very well thought out.

IIRC the Jeep has some ridiculous battery setup as well.

Yes, not easy to get to, but not as bad as the Journey.

American designs tend to work on the premise that the owner will not be doing any work in the back yard, for some or other reason.

Just going off on a tangent - I see that the OP hasn't come back to see if his question was answered - that really peees me off!

This is it for me - great on spec, and looks good on paper (or a spreadsheet). To me it's the kind of car you buy if you know nothing about cars and just have a checklist of what it has. The target market is people who want a big vehicle to indicate their enhanced status, but I don't see many people who love and understand cars going for them.

To be fair he asked specifically about after sales service, and we haven't answered the question yet. I personally haven't got a clue - and don't care either. I don't like them, and would never want to be in the position of wanting to get one serviced.

After sales in not too bad. Took my car for it's yearly service on Monday and received great service. As for the ridiculous battery setups in Jeeps... Mmmmm, the below looks like rocket science..
