Hi there, long story here.
I took out a VPN subscription using HidemyAss, for the sole reason that they have a server in Jozi, and I can get SA content, because I don't live there. I'm currently signed up with another VPN provider (Overplay) that has a server somewhere in SA, that works fine. It's just as slow as a snail, and some content doesn't work, and I was hoping that HidemyAss would fix it.
Well, after signing up with Hidemyass, it turns out, that they use MTN Business as their VPN ISP, and in some senses it works better then then the Overplay one, for the sole reason that Overplay, brings my country up as Anonymous and because of that, Supersport thinks I'm located in the USA and I can't stream in sports.
DSTV content works fine.
I thought if I tried HidemyAss's service it would fix that.
Well with Hidemyass, webpages load up fine, including DStv.com. It's just when I open the the DStv app, and put in my details, it refuses to log in, it just sits there, and says something like "unable to contact to login server."
I've still got what's left of my Overplay subscription to see me through, but I'm going to get to the bottom of this.
Does MTN buiness block DStv on demand, or is the problem with my VPN provider?
Thanks
