Hi
Does mobile networks tend to heat up somehow your battery? Or would it be mainly background apps? But when I switched off my data. Then battery temp goes down. I'm running on Vodacom. And the other networks I didn't noticed this much change in the battery. I realize it can be a faulty battery as well.

Poor signals can also cause overheating due to the phone having to try compensate and up the transmit power

Reset Networks if it's iPhone. Warning , you will loose all your WiFi logins.

Android should have a similar setting

If you ever suspect anything with the battery, check to see if it's slightly raised and not flat, if at all puffy, get rid of it and don't.... DON'T pierce it or treat it rough, it will catch alight. Just gently get rid of it safely. I would not leave it in a bin either. This is of course if you can access the battery. Thought I'd just add this in case of any battery problems anyway. PS if ever your battery does start to catch alight, don't get in the way of the fumes or sniff them, get it out and away asap and watch your hand/skin.

Hope you come/came right. Can check if it's the signal by checking your temps when you go into a dense area like a city etc. as there will be more cell signal.
