"Don’t do it Tito Mboweni" - AA

The AA has released a statement asking Finance Minister Tito Mboweni not to increase fuel levies, arguing that this would be damaging for the country.

It noted that Mboweni faced an enormous challenge ahead of his 2020 Budget Speech, but said that targeting fuel levies would not be the best way to deal with the situation.

Yeah I expect a fairly massive hike in all the levies and sin taxes and and and...

This year's % increases will be higher than before. The AA must just be looking for some free publicity. We all know what's coming

/looks @ potential vehicle purchase
Fuel tank capacity: 100l

/gulp

I can't wait for Pick and pay to use a 5c increase as the justification for charging R5 more per bread.

Doubt it. For that to happen, taxis would have to declare their full income and pay tax. Doubt they actually do.

That's exactly what I'm saying, they'll declare their full expenses - and hardly any income. Hence a loss.

Shouldn't Alcoholics Anonymous be more concerned about the sin taxes being increased than fuel levies?

Jesus how do you get from one fuel station to the next?

*will be crying in 4.8l v8*

I know...there are electric vehicles with better range than my car. But yes, anything with a 4.8L V8 is going to make my car look economical...good luck!
