Not if he received new information in the meeting, it doesn't.
Why would he wait for new information if he was a frothing hothead? Why wouldn't he go on the attack right away without waiting? You're contradicting yourself.

Trump Jr release series of emails. In the email it explicitly says Russian Government Attorney.

Oh and the subject of the email is Russia-Clinton

Golly gumdrops! So the NYT story isn't fake after all.

"The crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father. This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr Trump"

So much for fake news, hey narrowband?

Strange how these emails make no reference to the adoption story. These emails are clearly about a meeting with a Russian Government Attorney about information on Clinton.

Which everyone involved with completely forgot about because it was of no substance?

Actually, yeah. If the shoe was on the other foot, would the Clinton campaign refuse to meet with the Russians? Hell no. There isn't any evidence of wrongdoing to be found within those emails.

Well it does show that Kushner lied on his security clearance form.

It does show that Trump Jr met the Russian Government attorney with the full knowledge of Russian governments intent to assist the Trump campaign.

Yeah nothing too see here. Hillary is just as bad.

Yeah, but you seem to be expecting some kind of dramatic reaction over this. Would your reaction be as vehement if it was Clinton instead of Trump?

Are you forgetting what Clinton and the DNC did to Sanders?

In at least one case the Democrats have shown that they have the necessary moral fibre:

Gore aide receives, then lets go of hot potato

A close adviser to Vice President Al Gore said he had received an anonymously mailed package today that involved material designed to prepare Gov. George W. Bush for his debates with Mr. Gore.
The adviser, former Representative Tom Downey of Long Island, N.Y., said he examined the materials briefly before giving them to his lawyer, who turned them over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation this afternoon. Mr. Downey, who has been helping Mr. Gore prepare for the Bush debates and was standing in for Mr. Bush in mock debates, also said he would recuse himself from any further debate preparation.

Is there any reason the Republicans cannot do the right thing?

If no untoward information was produced as a result of the meeting, then what exactly would the right thing here be? Do you have proof that there was an actual transfer of information?

But either way, good on Gore.
