Yes, hence him being a moron. Remember this is before the #Russian meme.

I'm breaking down your assumption that he wanted to commit a crime.

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrr.
Yes it was before the Russian #meme.

This meeting may have been the real story that kicked off the Russian #meme.

It wasn't long after this that Russian stories started emerging.

Just over a month following this meeting you had Trump Jr denying that Russia would want to support his dad and undermine Clinton etc. Interesting lie given the series of emails he had over this very subject.

Yeah, exactly. The whole series of lies spun out by Trump Jr over the Russian connection directly contradicts a claim that either he didn't know what he was doing out of ignorance, or he would have reported it to the proper channels if he had known. He knew perfectly well that Russia had an agenda.

Uh. This is after he knew the meeting was a scam and not actually set up by the Kremlin.

Btw, I agree. The NSA flagged the email. This being the source of the hysteria and a nothingburger in one is actually pretty hilarious - when you consider the effect it has had on the administration.

Oh, that's still TBD. It's hard to prosecute him for intending to gain that information, but if he did gain and use damaging information as a result of his Russian relations, he certainly broke the law, and no amount of calling him a moron can excuse him from that.

Not quite, actually. Gaining and using information isn't necessary for it to be illegal.

https://transition.fec.gov/pages/brochures/foreign.shtml

The Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) prohibits any foreign national from contributing, donating or spending funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election in the United States, either directly or indirectly. It is also unlawful to help foreign nationals violate that ban or to solicit, receive or accept contributions or donations from them.

For the purposes here:

A gift, subscription, loan (except for a loan made in accordance with 11 CFR 100.82 and 100.83), advance, or deposit of money or anything of value made by any person for the purpose of influencing any election for Federal office is a contribution.

He's also said that this was the only contact, which could turn out to be another lie:

Certainly seems there was contact (quite possibly a phone call) between Trump Jr. and Emin Agalarov, again specifically referencing the "Russian government attorney".

Can you tell the differnece between Trump and the Republicans and Zuma and the ANC? They are so similar its sometimes scary. Trump is the ultimate snowflake just like Zuma. Zuma's white monopoly capital excuse is Trump's main stream media excuse.

And Bernie Sanders would make the US like Venezuela. Clinton was the best of a bad bunch. Sad that those are the leaders the world most powerful countries have to choose from.

How would he have done that?

konfab said:
If there are countries who the US government is compromised to, it is Israel and Saudi Arabia (probably in different parts).

True.

Nonsensical argument, the democrats form the radical left in the US, the ANC is their comrade. Note how dems and ANC love race baiting for example, or centralized pension planning / health care, or social spending regardless of how much debt it takes to fund.

Zuma's white monopoly capital excuse is the liberal "occupy wall street" or "let's go full communism and feel the Bern". They are intertwined by their very ideologies, yet somehow you reckon an apple has more in common with an orange than a naartjie does? :whistling:

Another good question:

House Democrats want to know why a major Russian money-laundering case was abruptly settled

That attorney, Natalia Veselnitskaya, represents the family of Pyotr Katsyv, the former vice governor of the Moscow region, whose son, Denis, owns the real-estate company Prevezon. The DOJ had been investigating whether Prevezon laundered millions of dollars through New York City real estate when the case was unexpectedly settled two days before going to trial in May.

“Last summer, Donald Trump Jr. met with a Kremlin-connected attorney in an attempt to obtain information ‘that would incriminate Hillary,'” the Democrats wrote, citing the emails he published. “Earlier this year, on May 12, 2017, the Department of Justice made an abrupt decision to settle a money laundering case being handled by that same attorney in the Southern District of New York.

“We write with some concern that the two events may be connected — and that the Department may have settled the case at a loss for the United States in order to obscure the underlying facts.”

The Prevezon case garnered high-profile attention, given its ties to a $US230 million Russian tax-fraud scheme and the Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky, whose suspicious death aroused international media attention and spurred the passage of the Magnitsky Act in 2012. Denis Katsyv and Veselnitskaya have become the face of Moscow’s lobbying efforts against the Magnitsky Act in recent years.

Sanders praised their socialism and there is even a video of him praising the fact that people stand in line for food. Here is one article and you can google for more - http://www.libertynewsdaily.com/blo...nezuela-as-model-for-ending-income-inequality

Jeremy Corbine also praised Venezuela, Jean-Luc Mélenchon as well. Its crazy that these types of leaders actually receive votes in first world countries. Its almost as if people want to live in deep poverty rather than have the opportunity to progress.

They are all the same. Trump rhetoric of bringing jobs back is left leaning.

Your sig perfectly suits you.

How does this relate to the ANC, who has done basically ****all to bring any kinds of jobs to the majority.

No, right-wing policies leads to jobs.

Its what I noted and pointed out in one of my recent posts.

Goldstone asks what number should he call you on. Jr replies on my cell. Goldstone says ok he is ob stage should call you soon.

An hour or so later Jr replies Thanks.

Clearly a phone call took place, as in a follow up meeting Goldstone says I am sure you are aware of the meeting.

So he lied to Hannity.

Not that Hannity knows or cares about the difference since he lies every time he opens his mouth.

:wtf: ok I'll bite, how do you conflate the 2008 crises with "right-wing policies"?!?
We can all blame that swiveled-eyed wing-nut Clinton for breaking up Glass-Steagall!

To be clear, I support legislation similar to Glass-Steagall and other monopoly-busting acts 100%. For instance, I do not support the current handling on net neutrality. The best way to make sure that consumers get the internet they want, is by limiting the ability of a fibre provider to also be an ISP provider.

Monopoly-busting is one of the very few areas that I approve of government meddling. Because it ends up producing a more fair and consumer orient free market.
