You've read the email then?

Of course not. But either the article is fake news or it isn't; there's no 'editorializing' here. Either the email mentioned the Russian government or it didn't; unless, like you seem to believe, someone can both discuss sanctions and not discuss sanctions.

They went there with the intent of getting dirt on killary. Then lied about it then did a 180. Come on Garson, surely you see the dodgyness there?
He lied about the intent? You'd have to show me where. He just stated that the meeting ended up being mostly about adoption.

"‘I’m told she has information about illegal campaign contributions to the D.N.C.,’"
Tell me where the Russian government is involved.

I don't disagree that Trump Jr. is a muppet and should keep his trap shut. However, the facts shown so far will show that this is nothing.

I was being a bit too diplomatic then, I'd bet on the NYT publishing yet more fake news in the name of furthering the Democratic Party's anti-Russia propaganda at all costs.

But you haven't seen the email. :wtf:

Yeah, but the claim by NYT about the existence of the email is what would change the meeting from vaguely inappropriate to bona fide attempted collusion. Narrowband says it's editorializing, but if the email in fact does mention that the information comes from the Russian government, there's no editorializing. It's either true or it isn't. Trump originally claimed that no members of his team met with Russians at any time, but that is patently untrue.

Interestingly, the guy who set up the meeting, Rob Goldstone, has a long personal history with Trump.

He even directed a music video starring Trump. Seems odd that Donald Trump wouldn't know the details of this meeting with his son, doesn't it?

Okay, I will grant you this assertion. But then you have to prove this is the case. Not even the NYT article says that this is the case.

Dont worry Mac and the crew, Trump will tweet something to further incriminate himself pouring fuel on the fire. It will make your jobs much easier.

There is no Russian story, yet time and time again people connected with Trump have absolute amnesia with regards to these types of meetings.

Such convenient amnesia.

And he's got close ties to Emin Agalarov, who...

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/07/who-is-emin-agalarov/533127/

The Russian pop star identified as having arranged a meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer is the son of an oligarch with ties to Vladimir Putin.

He didn't disclose the fact that he was told in an email that the information he would receive in the meeting was part of a Russian campaign to damage Hillary Clinton.

That's not the only lie. To repeat the timeline from yesterday:

Timeline of Donny Jr.'s lies:

- No meetings happened, it's a hoax
- Ok, meeting happened but it was about adoption policy (actually the Magnitsky Act - which the lawyer, various Russian oligarchs and Putin really wants repealed)
- Ok, meeting happened but I only went because I thought they had dirt on Clinton, they tricked me

And for such a random, supposedly innocuous meeting, why would he invite Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort (then campaign chairman) to it?

One idea floating around is that Kushner is the one that leaked this - remember the source is "3 White House advisers" - to get the heat off him a bit. I think he's concerned about financial crimes being dug up, in relation to his dodgy deals with his skyscraper.

Yeah, ain't it? Multiple meetings in some cases, too.

Flynn, Manafort, Page, Kushner, Sessions, Trump Jr, JD Gordon etc.

I think it goes back further than this. I think this particular meeting is where the collusion meme sprung from. Remember Trump accused Obama of tapping Trump Towers? A tape of this meeting probably made its way somewhere.

This meeting wasn't known about before a few days ago, though? It's one of the things Donny Jr. lied about.

What reason do we have to think there's a tape of this? Trump constantly makes up these 'threats' that he's taping people, or in this case he made up that Obama was taping him.
