...or so the White House claims....

Is it really that hard for you to accept that Trump would do that? Been drinking the MSM cool aid there a bit much, don't you think?

If he didn't, do you think that those various organisations would have screamed blue murder by now, and CNN / MSNBC / et al would have shouted about it from the rooftops?

And if you watched some press briefings, they have had the various representatives there to accept cheques. But, I guess that's just the White House trying to cover up their lies.

So many lies come out of the current WH - and you yourself should admit that much* - that I find I need to take any statement of "fact" with a grain of salt. In this case, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism is a far more trustworthy source, and they've been quiet.

* sorry, you may be more familiar with the term of art "alternative facts"

How is that unique to the current WH?
WMD in Iraq ring a bell?
Pulling troops out of Iraq?
You can keep your medical plan if you want to?
No boots on the ground in Syria?
I did not have sex with that woman?
I am not a crook?

At least four previous WH administrations represented there.

In quantity. I'm not denying previous WH lies, but man oh man, this admin can spit out "alternative facts".
You'd need an accurate list to count all the lies of previous WH's though, while I can't prove that the current WH lie-count is merely at the typical WH number, that's my sense of it.

In terms of the impact of the lies though, oh boy, Trump's WH isn't even in the league of some previous administrations.

I didn't say take it with a grain of salt. You could have very easily verified that fact yourself, but it rather fits your narrative believing what you do, so you won't and then you use that ignorance to push a narrative.

So for you, "a narrative" is "alternative facts" because you don't belive what you think my narrative is, but you know it is an ignorant narrative nonetheless. But that's your narrative, and I don't think that it is ignorant- just a false narrative.

Jesus. I need a narrator.

It's an ignorant narrative because you like to stick your head in the sand and pretend that facts can't be true if you find them incredible. We've been over this.

Btw, why all the radio silence over governor Northram? Funny how a famous white Democrat with the nickname "coonman" gets to go around in blackface and not even a whimper of protests from the White Privilege crowd.

Must be that Democrat Privilege at work again. :sneaky:

Even the dems want him to resign. Ertel resigned over something similar so the bar has been set.

"The Virginia Legislative Black Caucus, the state House Democratic Caucus and the state Senate Democratic Caucus all called on Northam to resign late Friday, along with several key progressive groups that have been some of the governor's closest political allies."

Oh, and it's Northam, not Northram, and yeah, he needs to resign yesterday.

Now, to prove there is *no* conservative privilege at play, and how wrong I am with my "unicorn" thing, I'll just wait here for your list of Republican folk saying Steve King should resign.... Mmkay?

Fake News Inc reported him to be a Republican, maybe caused a bit of confusion. Quite hilarious how they keep confirming their new title and only the most ardent MSM brainwashed souls still take anything they say seriously.

I was referring to the radio silence in this thread, not radio silence from the media. But thanks for proving my point, everyone!

I don't think he should resign over this, though. I see nothing wrong with blackface, the notion that dressing up as a black person could be racist is hysterical, if anything. The only reason this whole blackface brouhaha was manufactured was to distract from his actually disgusting comments about abortion, which the Dems knew was really really bad PR. And hey, looks like the media did their "look, shiney!" routine right on cue.
