Perhaps if you applied yourself to learning the language, rather than relying on thesaurus.com you could actually manage to clearly state an argument?
There's no argument, only a joke. And it's on you. Cry more. As if anyone could consider the garbage you post worthy of an argument.

In any case, well done for standing down at the point where your "appeal to idiocy" claims would be tested by rational arguement. It, for you, is a wise choice.
Thanks for confirming the prediction. Right on cue.

Sorry, Xarog. Can you please use words you actually understand? Start with one syllable words, and build up to two - or even three - syllables as you get more confident. Take it slow. Don't hurt your brain with complicated words yet.

Do you remember how you tried to school my language, and failed miserably? You should really pipe down.

No, Auntie Emjay - no, I do not. And, my dear lady, "school" is a noun, not a verb.

Well, well. I am once again going to show you why you should just sit at the back of the class and keep quiet. This is the second time, scudsucker.

https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/definition/english/school_2

(formal) to train somebody/yourself/an animal to do something school somebody/something/yourself (in something) to school a horse She had schooled herself in patience. school somebody/something/yourself to do something I have schooled myself to remain calm under pressure.

Just so I make the humiliation complete, let me remind you of the last interaction.

And after he actually called me out for NOT responding on time to a post by cerebus. It really is an interaction that I hold dear. I don't even know what I did to actually get this level of vitriol from this guy.

It's not like I particularly give a **** about you, Emjay, I just happen to disagree with what you post in this thread. But it is telling that that is far from mutual. I guess I hit a nerve. Quelle suprise.

Also, your definition of vitriol needs some help from dictionary.com

If you want to police use of my words, you should dig a little deeper. Here, let me educate you, once again.

https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/vitriol

Yeah, the use of the word is spot on.

Oh, and you spelled "surprise" incorrectly. You should really check your own posts before you try and own me.

I do have a good memory, and it is probably one of the reasons why you keep failing to educate me.

Thousands of black soldiers returning from the First World War competed against white workers for employment and housing. The veterans brought with them a renewed intolerance for discrimination, an attitude summarized in an editorial by W. E. B. Du Bois in the magazine The Crisis. “By the God of Heaven,” Du Bois wrote, “we are cowards and jackasses if now that the war is over, we do not marshal every ounce of our brain and brawn to fight a sterner, longer, more unbending battle against the forces of hell in our own land.”
Du Bois being quoted again. Totes a coincedence, right Buka?

After 10 years on this forum, I think my resilience to bad ideas is just fine.

Do you remember how you got that Right Wing Extremist thread deleted? That thread that had some very good content in it, which took a lot of time for some people to formulate good faith debates? You got that canned. Now, you have gotten CountCrypto banned. I think your resilience is lower than you believe it to be.

was that a flip-flop i just saw ?

How do you figure? I was identifying Xarog's tendency to always absolve his tribe from agency or responsibility, while not granting similar absolution to "the left". Hell, he even empathised with the El Paso shooter's concerns and blamed the left for it.

Chicago has the strictest gun laws, don't they? Do you know how many people were shot in Chicago over the weekend? 53.

https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/...-shootings-lawndale-douglas-park-gun-violence

Majority of Guns Used in Chicago Crimes Come From Outside Illinois

That's why gun reform needs to be on a federal level. Guns and people don't stop at state borders. Red states with loose gun laws feed the guns into cities, including across state lines.

Yeah, and this is the same guy who was calling Trump a white supremacist back in 2017.

Was he?

But yeah, odd that a guy with a long history of racism was called a racist 2 years ago.

Oooof! Nice catch. I stopped reading after the first paragraph.

Edit:

It is not surprising in any way though. It is the New Yorker afterall.

At least you tried. Tolerance for views you don't agree with is difficult at times.

I don't disagree that those things are racist. I just don't think the left is willing to actually sit down and tackle why people are gravitating towards that way of thinking. They don't want to engage with young white men anymore. They are seemingly just fine with calling them bad people and writing them out of society, censoring them online and creating an underground culture of hate. Right now all I see from the left is name calling. Have a problem with anything, you are a racist, a bigot. Don't call out the racists and bigots loudly enough online, then that means you support them because you know, silence is violence now.
But no, I don't think you're even looking at what "the left" (whoever that's even supposed to be) is saying or doing. You're looking at and responding to the right wing caricature of the left, because that's what keeps the culture war chugging along.
Your bold. TIL I'm not only countcrypto and half of the other posters on this forum, but also S7wede.

Oh, look. Another tribal lefty getting a hardon over the prospect of blaming Trump for the shootings.

At least we are all sticking to our lanes, hey Orbital Dawn?

Also, remember that guilt-by-association is totally a valid way of countering the views of youtubers and anyone that can be characterised as alt-right according to the left's sloppy criteria, but dare identify a prominent leftist thinker as being behind the inspiration behind a thinkpiece and suddenly it's all about tolerance for views you disagree with.
