Oooof! Nice catch. I stopped reading after the first paragraph.

Edit:

It is not surprising in any way though. It is the New Yorker afterall.
Yes indeed, tisk tisk, can't be entertaining the lived experience and views about segregation and prejudice from these Marxistsnow can we. He was a Marxist! Ermaghad, the horror!!!

His criticisms of racism, Jim Crow laws and so forth must be discounted and invalidated for the Cultural Marxist plot they are! Squash this dissenting opinion now. Think of the children.

These Marxists, how dare they impose upon the conservatives right to suppress and segregate black people.

He is technically correct on that as he didn't say Republicans.

Obviously buka is a completely hipocryte as he dismissed many other sources out of hand just because of the views they hold. Everything that he doesn't like is just a Nazi conspiracy. But he has a point her. A maxist shouldn't be dismissed outright just because he is a marxist. Especially if he identifies legitimate problems in society. His solutions to that problems will obviously be communists BS proven to kill millions. But the problems they identify could be valid.

8chan wasn't just people that shared the same believes. It was open to anyone. You could have joined. There was no membership requirements.

It's mostly satire. They actually mocked people that got that serious and called it undercover fedtalk. As in a government agent trying to stir shît up.

The satire and dark humour might seem strange to some. But laughing about bad situations is quite common and many people deal with issues in this way.

It is however a problem that some people on all sides always tend to be violent or have violent outburst. Maybe because of a lack of a proper upbringing or whatever. I'm not against identifying people with proven violent tendencies and policing them in some way.

Hard to have a membership of anonymous and untraceable visitors. It was open to anyone, unless you were jewish, homosexual or any race other than white - while you could still post there, you were harassed and insulted constantly. Anyone that thinks debate here is difficult is welcome to head over there to give it a try when it is up again.

The dark humour, like sharing someones's home address and employment information? Would you share those details online, or tolerate a site that shared your details online without your consent? Lack of moderation can be a very bad thing

I reported SS - I mean CC - a month back on the basis that he was flagrantly violating the forum rules against racism. Personally I have no issue reading his crap and I had him on ignore anyway, but the mods ultimately would have been the ones to decide what to do with him. They do need to keep a hard line against hate speech for the sake of the forum.

You seem to have a need to run to authority often to enforce the rules. I wouldn't be so surprised if you were so helicopter'ish in your day to day life. You sure like to swoop in at any sign of discomfort.

Yes, totally a coincidence in an article discussing the prevalence of white supremacy in the USA is going to mention a prominent African-American civil rights activist.
That's nothing. Did you know Hitler was merely a prominent German politician? Purely a coincedence if anyone quotes his works... :sneaky:

You seem to have forgotten:

Marxist feminist critical theory
W. E. B. Du Bois theorized that the intersectional paradigms of race, class, and nation might explain certain aspects of black political economy. Collins writes: "Du Bois saw race, class, and nation not primarily as personal identity categories but as social hierarchies that shaped African-American access to status, poverty, and power."[28]:44 Du Bois omitted gender from his theory and considered it more of a personal identity category. Cheryl Townsend Gilkes expands on this by pointing out the value of centering on the experiences of black women. Joy James takes things one step further by "using paradigms of intersectionality in interpreting social phenomena". Collins later integrated these three views by examining a black political economy through the centering of black women's experiences and the use of a theoretical framework of intersectionality.[28]:44Collins uses a Marxist feminist approach and applies her intersectional principles to what she calls the "work/family nexus and black women's poverty". In her 2000 article "Black Political Economy" she describes how, in her view, the intersections of consumer racism, gender hierarchies, and disadvantages in the labor market can be centered on black women's unique experiences.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersectionality#Marxist_feminist_critical_theory

How dare we entertain the views of someone who chose to speak up against racism, lynching, Jim Crow laws and the discrimination that was instituted at many levels in American society.
CountCrypto was saying the exact same things, and apparently he got banned for it...

But, because he was sympathetic to Marxism (eventhough he never voted for the Communist Party), all his discourse on racism, lynchings and inequality must be discounted.
The bolded part in the text I quoted shows why all his views must be discounted; it's a terribly bad idea to sort the races into hierarchies of power etc. etc.

Gee now where have I seen this tactic before? I am Nazi'ng the connection? Maybe you can help?
Try a mirror?

You're certainly sticking to yours, come hell or high water. You're so damn tribal you can't even bear to read New Yorker articles, speaking of sensitivity to ideas.

Oh, you mean the lane which is not trying to gain political points or fund raise off mass casualties?

I much prefer my lane, thank you.

You can't even bear to read views that are opposed to your echo chambers, so I'm fully aware of your preferences.

I agree completely. However, the arguments in the article are all over Twitter, and have been repeated far and wide. It's really just the same rubbish dressed up with words from Du Bois. The author of that article however has often repeated that Trump is a white supremacist with zero evidence. Trump has said some very morally poor things, but if you look at this history of his insults, and language, he is an equal opportunity offender. White, black, male, female, you name it.

What's also pretty despicable is how there are clearly double standards when it comes to this type of stuff. If Trump's rhetoric is so bad, then there are a number of politicians across both parties which should be reigned in an as well. But, you know, that will never happen when the media is the one skewing the narrative in a certain way. They have to resist at all costs.

I still cannot believe the irony in it. We have spent a week (or so) reading about cultural Marxism and the thinkers that are believed to influence this phenomenon, then Buka goes on to post an article quoting one of those very same thinkers. :X3:

Yes you are right. Let us end the discussion on Civil rights, prejudice and racism because some Marxist objected to Jim Crow laws, lynchings of black people and segregation laws.

It is Cultural Marxism and this evil must be blotted out from society.

Dude with irrational fear complains about what he perceives to be the irrational fear in others.

The false equivalence is in your head because you have an irrational fear of Nazis.
