I see the DNC is up to its usual tricks again.

Eh, this is silly.

The criteria is not remotely unknown or opaque. It's been public information since 29 May.

And the criteria kicked out a bunch of 'establishment' candidates, too.

  1. Polling Threshold. Candidates must receive 2% or more support in at least four polls (which may be national polls, or polls in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and/or Nevada) meeting the following criteria (“Qualifying Poll Criteria”):

    • Each poll must be sponsored by an approved organization,
Can you explain why the DNC's choice of what is considered an "approved organisation" isn't arbitrary?

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that you can't.

Any criteria that is exclusionary can be accused of being arbitrary.

They want to (rightly) winnow the field for the debates, and at this point if these campaigns can't even breach 2% with some consistency they aren't going anywhere.

Too soon to say. Compelling evidence of immigration fraud is emerging. If it turns out to be true she faces deportation or up to forty years in jail.

Link? I guess you're talking about the conspiracy that Emjay was going on about a while ago, it's been largely discredited. But don't worry, as long as your standard of proof is low enough you can keep on believing that she'll be deported for marrying her brother

I'll wait for the courts to decide, thank-you. Wonder why you won't.

Lol. It's never going to see the inside of a courtroom. The whole thing is ridiculously flimsy.

This article attempted to dig into the story with some rigor and came up with nothing:

So I assigned a couple of reporters to go back over the case. It turned out that most of the evidence behind (the notion that she had married her brother) was in social media. So we looked at the social media trail. It had been wiped clean, and that piqued our interest even more. But because the posts had been wiped, we had to rely on screen grabs that had been posted by people who we know have an ax to grind. So it was tricky.

Were these social media posts the main evidence for the allegation that she had married her brother?
As far as I can tell, it’s really only the social media posts. It seemed clear that there is some kind of personal relationship between Omar and Elmi. But whether they are family or not, we can’t tell. We weren’t able to come close to determining whether that was the truth. And frankly, we were wary of drawing any conclusions.

ah but she will die with a smile on her face having tasted true tolerance and diversity, the likes of which the fascist USA cannot provide
It would obviously be Trumps fault for sending her home. Almost like he is going to throw the first stone.

It's kinda sad that they learned nothing from the last election cycle. I would have like a closer race whit a decent candidate.

Apparently some random guy's blog is now "compelling evidence". Arthur's standards have hit a new low here

Random guy's blog? More like a letter to a county court by State Representative Steve Drazkowski.
I don't see any evidence she's an illegal immigrant and once again, social media posts are not compelling evidence, even if they are printed out and presented by Steve.

Agreed. I don't even have a FB account. The link was sent by a friend. So let's wait and see what happens. This isn't over yet.

It's getting to that. A court will decide. I definitely think even if she is illegal she is to high profile and politics will win over justice. She'll get to stay on some technicality.

Im still trying to understand the right wing love in with Tulsi? She is just about a young female version of Bernie.

Well being the young and especially female version makes her better. Who wants a old white, male

I can't think why the left aren't falling over themselves to make her president.

Probably because you still don't understand that majority of people you label 'right wing' aren't... as soon as you realise that, it'll start making sense;)
