The aim is not to reverse Trump's election as that is impossible. But I think they hope a strong show of force will have some influence on govt policy and temper some of Trump's more outlandish proposals.

They may not influence Trump directly but those around him (Senate and Congress) who think beyond the 4 or 8 Trump years
