I understand the logic but wouldn't it be better to pay for an abortion instead of welfare? Surely it's alot cheaper. Also what about rape victims and such?

Republicans only care about fetuses and unborn babies, after they are born they are on their own.

Yeah lets just kill everyone that can't take care of themselves because it's cheaper. Special circumstances do not make the rule for eg. with rape victims. The problem is selling abortion as contraception and forcing people that don't agree with the practice to pay for it.

And rightly so. The world is tough. The sooner someone learns to deal with it the better.

Yeah. "Intelligent", right?

It's not his limited vocabulary that tells you about his intelligence. It's his inept use of what vocabulary he has, and his inability to express a well-reasoned thought.

@Sam Harris (author) put it this way (paraphrasing): If you have a bottle, and you don't know what's in it, the first thing you might pull out could be some twigs, and the next could be the Hope Diamond. Items in a bottle are not necessarily connected.

Thoughts don't work that way. They *are* connected. You can't constantly spout nonsense but secretly be a genius.

Let's make it as tough as possible for people. People without money and resources. The tougher we make it, the sooner they will learn their place in the world.

The policy requires non-governmental organizations to "agree as a condition of their receipt of [U.S.] federal funds" that they would "neither perform nor actively promote abortion as a method of family planning in other nations".[6] The policy has exceptions for abortions done in response to rape, incest, or life-threatening conditions.[7]

Abortion as a way to reduce welfare spending. LOL, imagine the $hitstorm if Trump said he would encourage more poor people to have abortions so the government wouldn't have to pick up the tab.

With his win of the White House, president-elect Trump has made no secret that his electoral college mandate to "make America great again" should apply to US foreign policy as well.
During the campaign and after his victory, Trump has unabashedly and unpredictably turned US policy on its head with a cascade of jaw-dropping statements about Mexico, China, Russia and Putin, ISIS, Muslims, NATO, Israel and more. There is, however, one area of the world Trump seems to have eschewed altogether, an area where his skittishness could prove a boon.

For the past eight years Africa has been relegated to the back burner of US foreign policy. President Obama, whose father hailed from Kenya, elicited high expectations when he came to office and was seen, initially, as a potential champion for African causes. Yet, aside from his struggling "Power Africa," a $7-billion presidential initiative launched in 2013 and aimed at doubling Africa's electrical grid by 2030, Obama has little to show for when it comes to Africa. Unlike his immediate predecessor, who morphed into a staunch Africa supporter with several African programs to boot (including his Presidential Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, PEPFAR), the first black president departed from the White House in January 2017 with a legacy of soaring rhetoric and lofty slogans, but no tangible and successful African signature policies.
Enter Trump: bombastic and volatile, with neither affinity nor proximity to Africa, but a brazen sense of unpredictability. Collective speculation, as echoed by University of Johannesburg professor Peter Vale in a CNN opinion piece, holds that Trump's foreign policy on Africa "is likely to be non-existent."

Because Trump favors protectionism, the argument goes, he will turn his back on Africa and will happily don Obama's mantle to continue Washington's minimalist involvement in African affairs.
Trump, however, might just do the opposite and, just as George W. Bush, surprise many critics by implementing sensible policies vis-à-vis Africa.
One may wonder why. Why would Trump care about Africa? Why should Africa matter to a Trump administration that has pledged to build roads and bridges in North Carolina, not in South Sudan? The answer to these questions is simple: China. If Trump is serious about China, as he has ostensibly touted on the campaign trail and via twitter, if he is determined to flex his muscles against China, he should first challenge the rising power of the Red Dragon in Africa. That's because Africa has served as China's economic launching pad for over two decades. Africa has fueled and will continue to fuel China's booming industries for several decades to come.

With the US economic presence in Africa receding, China has occupied the void and driven competition out, including many European companies and investors. The Chinese are building infrastructures at a dizzying pace, from Cairo to Cape-town, in exchange for Africa's rich mineral ores. Buoyed by state subsidies, Chinese companies are outbidding competition with many shoddy, built-on-the-fly construction projects, and take a disproportionate role in Africa's extractive production and industries.

Unpredictable Trump could prove a game changer for Africa

Actually - due to more use of birth control - abortion rates has dropped in the US - from 46 in 1000 women in 1994, to 27 in 1000 women in 2014.

Brown, the executive director of the Idaho Democratic Committee, is running for the chair position against six other candidates, including three African-American candidates and one Hispanic, former Labor Secretary Tom Perez.“My job is to shut other white people down when they want to say, ‘oh, no, I’m not prejudice; I’m a Democrat; I’m accepting,'” Brown bellowed during the forum, which was hosted by MSNBC’s Joy Reid.Brown began her three minute pitch by chiding white Democratic leaders over what she said is the party’s failure to discuss the Black Lives Matter movement.

“Black lives matter and it makes me sad that we’re even having that conversation, and that tells me that white leaders in our party have failed,” she lamented.Among other jobs she said she will undertake as DNC chair is “[making] sure that [white people] get that they have privilege.”“Until we shut our mouths and we listen to those people who don’t and lift our people up so that we all have equity in this country, so that we’re all fighting alongside each other, so that we are all on the same page and we clearly get where we’re going, we’re not going to break through this.”

She went on to say that she has been soliciting insight and advice from people of color “because you have the answers.”

Looks like the Dems have learned nothing. Long may it continue!

SNL's Katie Rich 'suspended' for 'insensitive' tweet about Donald Trump's son Barron

A "Saturday Night Live" writer was suspended indefinitely after tweeting an "insensitive" joke about Donald Trump's 10-year-old youngest son, Barron.

Katie Rich was suspended immediately for writing the offensive tweet, a source told the Associated Press, after it triggered an outcry on social media, with many calling for a boycott of the TV show.

Rich later deleted the tweet, deactivated her account but then reactivated it on Monday, saying she wanted to "sincerely apologise" for the "insensitive" tweet and "deeply regret" her actions.

NBC had no comment.

Barron, who will become the first boy since John F Kennedy Jr to live in the White House, had found support from Chelsea Clinton, with the former first daughter saying he "deserves the chance every child does - to be a kid."

The ten-year-old has been the victim of cruel memes online ever since the election result, but instances of the mocking posts appeared to increase as he stood by his father during the inauguration.

Barron Trump has had his facial expressions and posture scrutinised, with critics accusing the young boy of looking bored and not loving his father.

However, Rich sparked the greatest outrage when she tweeted: "Barron will be this country's first homeschool shooter".

Context is easy: The Dem-supporting MSM are a bunch of bigots who love calling ordinary patriotic Americans bigots. It no longer works.
