Women's March: A united message spanning generations
"Stand united, we will never be divided,"..
Say the subscribers to the ideology of division that pushed us all the way to this precipice and forced a reaction.
"Girls just wanna have fundamental rights"
How almost every conversation with female rights activists in the west goes:
Person: What rights,
specifically?
Activist: In general, there are so many, let's not get bogged down in details.
Person: Name
one right that men have in the west, that women don't.
Activist: It's not MY job to educate YOU!
Person: And clearly you couldn't, even if I hired you to do so right now. Because you know nothing about anything. Don't even know what you're lobbying for.
Many were parents who said they wanted to send out a message for the next generation that they have a voice and can stand up for the women's rights they believe to be under threat from the new US administration.
And mormons believe in magic underwear. Once again, policy details conveniently missing.
"Our leaders over here are right wing as well. It's not going the right way for me.
Your tears could not taste more sweet. Cry some more.
"Brexit is a concern. I hope we protect the rights the EU offers, such as employment rights and maternity. These issues need to be spoken about.
"Employment rights" - yeah, don't be specific. Most workers rights in Britain that these people like to talk about even predate the EU, and are British. If the UK gov is going to repeal specific EU rights that you have a problem with, I expect you to fkn name them.
Maternity leave in the UK is
more generous than what is mandated by the EU. So she's actually pro UK, and anti EU on this issue, but she's not actually interested in looking up any of these things, because that's not really what this is all about.
When a nation is doing badly, women suffer.
As opposed to men, who don't? Champions of equality, this lot.
You're all anti nationalists and hate "the nation" anyway, so you're damn right it's going badly for our
nation, because of you. If you had your way, we wouldn't even be a nation, we'd just be a little neighbourhood in a open borders Euro superstate. You'd destroy our ability for independence the second you had the chance.
"Personally I want my daughter to see what I've done today to show you can do things to change the world and she does have the power."
Did Trump step down? Is Brexit not going to happen anymore?
Clearly you people don't have the power, and you've changed nothing.
Nancy Pegg, 39, a mum-of-two from south-west London, came along with her daughter Sophie, nine, who carried a yellow banner emblazoned with the words "Yes to equality".
Is Sophie *really* willing to give up all of those female privileges in the west in the name of equality?
Men and women are different anyway. I can promise you that you don't want to be "treated like a man" by society.
"progress made in the last decades is in threat of being eroded".
Actually, we're calling all the nonsense you've been up to "regression" now.
"His election was a catalyst for something that's been coming a long time.
Yeah, you felt yourself
earning that backlash, didn't you boy? Still kept doing it though.
"This march has taken on huge visibility here in the UK because the issues are global. Women's pay was an issue when I worked in the City.
And yet, not anywhere near as interested in political parties or leaders in
most other parts of the world that make Trump look like a radical feminist in comparison. Perhaps they only care about white countries.
"There is still the issue of sexual violence and how it's prosecuted and handled here.
Yeah. But let's talk about some of those issues that people like you hate talking about.
One of the worst being that female child abusers rarely even get jail time in the UK after being found guilty, and even when they do get jail time, their sentences aren't remotely comparable to men committing the exact same crime.
That's because of systemic gender bias in the judiciary, at the expense of innocent children in the case of child abuse.
You even have people in power suggesting that we completely outlaw female prisons, because vagina.
However, the final address was given by 10-year-old Sumayah Siqqiqi who read out a poem to the crowd which had a message of optimism with the words "I shall stand for love".
The tired "all you need is love" mantra. Nobody loves indiscriminately, so stop pretending like you do.
Tell us you love people on the far right......... Didn't think so. Discriminatory, just like everyone else. A fake moral high ground.
It also completely cheapens the idea of love by just blanketing that sht to people you don't even know.
Are people supposed to value that?
We all recognize immediately that this is just a tactic used to try to CONTROL people, we weren't born yesterday like you were, little girl.
The BBC predictably giving absolutely zero critical analysis, push back or fact checking on anything that these people say, not even the lies that the BBC is aware are lies.
Also, no mention of violence, riots, and anti-trump protesters in the US acting like brown shirts. Wouldn't want to associate all of that with the rest of the Fk Trump movement, at least not in THIS article. Try to keep that sht segregated. They only do that kind of association if it's the right wing.
