Don't buy these stolen batteries

Cellular network battery theft is rapidly increasing in South Africa, and many people are unknowingly putting themselves at risk by purchasing stolen batteries.

Cellphone tower theft and vandalism in nothing new, but a recent escalation in this crime has seen drastic measures taken by operators.

If the price is good, and ,people will buy ,and the seller bought it from "MTN', they sold it as redundant batteries.

These cell sites are easy targets, surprised they aren't taking the tower and housing panels to the scrap metal dealers

If this batteries got hot, eg 35 degree's for a few times there lifetime decrease to 2 years max for new ones. So if you buy stolen ones, they might be good or bad. To last for ten years, keep at 21 23 degrees.

You would think this is a no-brainer. But we still need to remind our fellow depraved citizens that they are hastening the downward spiral. If you are caught with these batteries, economic sabotage should be the crime. Hardcore jail time in Pollsmore should be their fate.

I find it hilarious how many middle to upper class people buy these (sometimes indirectly) and then also how many businesses sell/install them too.

Why they, the businesses don’t get shutdown amazes me especially when the supplier/thief goes to jail yet they “experts” in the field so WTF? If you an expert in the field you know that, that brand cannot be sold for consumer use..
