When I read articles like this I alway remeber how many applauded the removal of AIDS denying Mbeki only to have us get stuck with Zuma.

Careful what you wish for.
As sad as this sounds, I'd go back to the days of Mbeki in a heartbeat.

He was a trash president, but compared to what we've got these days he was the greatest leader the world has ever seen.

Nothing will work and be sustainable the future in, UNTIL efforts are made to understand the severe long term effects and consequences of Modern Corruption where Digital provided exponential leverage to the evil side, thats it. Reset back to 1992 EU etopia playing out, and start again, the 2nd chanches for the World is running out at population growth and required Resources to make promises reality. The planet is too small for all the pipe dreams.

ANC must go.
De Ruyter must stay, kind of.

The problem we have here is trying to get 1 person to do the job of 10.

De Ruyter should be the police man, and he should be given enforcers to fight the corruption. Something Anc is totally incapable of.

Then you need the Technical people handling the Technical parts and you need a lot of them. Should not be bothered by the political spectrum.

De Ruyter doubling down on the spy chip, just proves he does not fit this particular role.
Corruption just outright destroys everything.

TL:DR
De Ruyter makes up only 1/10 of the solution

"will bring nothing but instability and uncertainty to the power utility"....

uhmmmm..... Its been unstable and uncertain for 12 years now... You could put blow up doll as CEO and it would have the same impact. Honestly it does not matter who you make CEO. Eskom will remain unstable and uncertain for years if not decades to come. The problem is a political one not a technical one.

Fire him! Data wise load shedding has never been this bad ever. Stats dont lie. He should go!

Remember, first comes the plan. Then the task team to see if the plan is a doable plan. Then a commission to enquire why the task team wasted money and time on not planning for the plan. Then court cases et al to find a scapegoat. After everything, Squirrel will be shocked.

And then a shock reduction committee.

"Ramaphosa’s plan includes bringing skilled engineers back to Eskom, incentivising the uptake of rooftop solar, and buying surplus capacity from independent power producers."

Are they still planning about having a plan to plan a plan for this?
I got a backup plan to the backup plan to backup the backup plan
