This is Africa
We Africans will still find a way to plug in many plugs into 1 hole, its what we do best

Am I missing something? What is this about rewireable and non-rewirable sockets? Are there going to be sockets with the same pin layout that a rewired plug should not be plugged in to?

How would the socket (and more importantly, the wiring in the wall behind it) know you've plugged a rewired plug into a socket meant for non-rewired plugs only?

How will a sign prevent it? At best the sign will educate someone.
Have you seen those signs on car windscreens that tell you not to use a rear-facing baby seat? have you seen all the parents blatantly ignoring that and risking their child's life?

Even education is a long shot.

Some people simply don't care enough.

In a Nigerian hotel where I provided training they opted to bypass plugs completely:

Exactly:unsure: If the point is to make things safer and more convenient then surely there should be no difference.

I think most newer cars can be set for rear facing baby seats. At least mine can. 20201006_160136.jpg

The quality of multi-plugs, in this country leaves a lot to be desired, designed, for who knows what. But this is Africa, and anything goes, partly to blame on people not wanting yo pay for decent quality items in general.

I've seen a few of these new style 3 pin sockets, but have still not seen a single one of these plugs. Do they really exist out in the real world?
