Closing of Dot Computers Thread

This suddenly got closed. Is this because of the incredibly spurious threat of legal action against a forumite who told only the truth? If not, why was it closed?

Amazing how the mere mention of legal action causes the quiet clucking of chickens to be heard.

It must be the handiwork of those highly paid US lawyers from Boston that can't spell their words properly.

Hi folks

As IC has mentioned it did not get closed due to legal threats but because of complaints and the fact that there were too many personal attacks etc. I can also reassure members that no details about any member will be given out without a court order. This forum would have been closed soon after its inception if we were scared of idle legal threats :D

Regards,

RPM

It is MyADSL's prerogative to close any thread if & when it degenerates & is no longer constructive.

Neither of which appear to apply - getting hyperactive maybe, but certainly also getting VERY constructive. Looks like a mod running scared at the mention of a lawyer to me.

I think we can certainly take ic and rpm's word for it that MyADSL is not scared of legal threats ^_^ If they were, Telkom would have won aaaages ago.

That said, we need to collect all relevant information in one place. I reckon either contact RSx or myself if you have anything else constructive to add.

Having calmed down I see that you are right. I apologise to ic and rpm.

Ok seeing that the previous thread was closed due to it becoming too personal in nature, I'm still curious to know the outcome as well as how the issue is being resolved regarding Incubates case. So if we could please refrain from personal attacks and retarded legal threats, I'm sure that there's alot of people also interested in the subject. PM's don't cut it because everybody has a right to know about the people they deal with, especially considering that the company in question started dealing in the public domain, and not via PM.

Well the 6pm deadline has passed, let's see if he will take legal action. Anyone willing to bet that he will?

Nice work starting the thread again, I'm sure lots of people want to see how this is resolved.

I cannot believe any business can treat their customers like this!
