Double discount using your gym membership and coupon?

Hey guys!

I want to know if you get discount (on the full price) on certain items via your gym membership and you have an account which gives you discount (on non sale items with a qualifying spend) will they work in conjunction?

I don't want to stand in the store and argue with a clerk if I'm wrong when I purchase gym clothes and want to get the double discount. . .

I guess you are referring to Virgin Active / Totalsports? I have done so in the past with my Discoverycard, Healthygear and Virgin Active discount. However, those Rewards vouchers from the Fochini group normally say that they cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or discounted items. In my opinion you would be buying a discounted item (VA discount) and hence the reward voucher would not be usable. http://www.tfgrewards.co.za/terms.aspx

Okay thanks, I was of the school of thought that I was buying a full price item (no sale) then the total purchase price would still be above the coupon value and then qualify for the discount.
