Theres an ad in the latest NAG magazine for Telkom as well. A very well tanned person (looks like a tramp) clutching a joystick. She is OBVIOUSLY playing minesweeper...

Sounds like the one I'm referring to except there are two of her on the one side of the 'poster'

broadband from Telkom allows a household to simultaneously perform functions such as online banking and financial management, gaming, entertainment downloads, education, etc., and to perform these functions at a very high speed.

Why do they keep on insisting on this blatant lie ?

Damn, everytime I see a telkom add I just cant help but swearing out loud. Especially the latest TV add in which telkom boast about being such an advanced, high tech company. Then there also is the stupid, ugly, pavement-special, dog called pilot who hears a telephone from 1Km away, just to show that telkom has finally managed to provide farmers with overpriced telephone services.

Wake up all you uninformed people !! Telkom is stuck in the stone age of anything internet related. 512kbps is currently the fastest DSL service available to residential homes, while in other countries 100mbps is almost a reality like our highly anticipated 1mbit/s line.

Did anyone see the ADSL TV AD, where the business man drives through what looks like a movie set, and then climbs aboard a space shuttle?

The ad to my mind appears to be saying that "We (Telkom) have ADSL, and if you think it is going to do as we claim, you are living in the same imaginary world as our TV actor"!

R200 000 for an ad? Is there no one who can get a discounted huge ad in Sundaytimes as this is a non-profitable organization to start of with.

God damn, its a sunday(times) ad, dont they show any mercy?

I thing that a posting from rpm supporting our fundraising venture will go a long way towards making It more official. Come on rpm what do you thing about educating masses of South Africans about the real nature of TELKOM?

Peapod,

Plse post an update of the account balance. We need to keep the momentum for this. If the balance is above expectations then we get a moral boost, and if below expectations then we just have work harder to get the word out. everyone agree?
