Don't get too excited though...browsing still sucks. Took ages to load the forum.

Hopefully it's a sign of better things to come though :)

Multi threaded HTTP download running at 2kB, same file that was running at 30KB before.

Birdy needs to fly over to the Minktek tower.

Not all peering appears to have been completed. Datapro (where my sites are hosted is) and Jinx apparently. Does seem to make a bit of difference to my site.

Here's the new MYSTERY partner:

****, this is frustrating. I get an 11ms RTT along the path my Sucktech modem, directly from an MTNNS peer until 3 hops away from modem. And there it all dies. Right in Sentech's ****ty microwave backbone, or whatever the hell it is.

It's great that they now have better peering bandwidth. It's just a pity nobody can use it.

Hmmm... 2KB d/l from tucows.is.co.za - gotta love that peering - so who are they using now - MTN network services by the look of it?

Must be our special cement and vodacom signals blocking the microwave backbone

erm...the SRT shot up at about 15:00 and is running nice and fast now.

Max: 20.92KB/s
Avg: 4.39KB/s
Last: 15.55KB/s

Very nice...I'll leave my sig intact till I have 24 hours of better than 8KB/s speeds [:)]
