I am running outlook 2007 on 2 computers and have a telkom account which gives me an email address with a a few aliases. I want the aliases to receive the email seperately on the 2 different computers. Can somebody please assist me to do this as there seems no way to set a rule in Outlook for this.

All I can think of is that you set both Outlook clients up to download the mail from the one mailbox, then set it to not remove mail for 2weeks or so.

On Outlook 1 make a rule that if the mail were send to the Outlook 2 address, then delete mail, and the other way arround.

Or setup a mail server on the one pc thats always on, and configure both Outlook Clients to collect mail from local mail server.

The mailserver collect mail from Telkom Mailbox, and split it into correct mailbox, this way you can split more than 2 email addresses

It's probably easier to convert one of the aliases to a stand alone TI mailbox at +/- R16/mth. Haven't done it for while so make sure that 10210 understands that you want to use an existing email alias.

But i do not want to lose email. Both machines are on at the same time and mail goes to one or the other depending on which one does the receive email first it automatically checks. Now the other machine is for my wife and then the email addressed to her comes to me if my machine checks for email first. Thats the issue. We just use it for email and light browsing. I found a guide but its for Outlook express and the settings are a bit different for the rules. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2419568

Mick's idea would be the best!

If you set Outlook not to remove mail from the server for 14 days or so, both would have the same set of mails

Found the solution it was easy as pie. When you setup the one account with aliases you just use the email address of the alias on the specified machine and the email addressed to the alias filters in with no duplication. I contacted various other ISP's to see if they had a solution and they all tried to sell me a seperate email account. Thank you very much for your suggestions.

In the outlook email setup where it asks to specify the users email addresses you just type it in there. Sorry can't post pic.
