For R350k? Nice... I'll take 2.
IzZzy, I always thought that you were sold on those funny American SUV's - what happened?
Secondly, I am just popping in, so haven't read the whole thread, but why have you not looked at something decent like a S U B A R U ??
I am no longer in the car business, but know what I would be buying if I was in the market...![]()
i already suggested that, but these people dont listen
really happy with my Forester thanks !

As you should be!
There are none so deaf as those who will not hear!!
You should be able to pick up a 1 year old XV with Xenons for that sort of price - all Subarus come with Bluetooth as standard equipment. I drove Foresters and XV's with and without Xenons, and I honestly don't know what the bloody fuss is about.
Hah, priceYour suggestion of the XV is a good one - I missed that!
EDIT: Checked Autotrader - there's exactly 1 2014 model in the country, in bright orangeIs that a good or bad sign?
I would def. consider the Honda CRV. Great bang for your money.
What about a GWM H5? Great standard features, well priced. One of the few SUVs with an auto diesel. Quite a few on auto trader.
Not so with the XV - that was their advertising colour and it's one of the most popular colours you can get - stop being so bloody conservative! You should not consider Orange on a car unless you live in Brakpan (or surrounds). The only exception is if the car is an exotic, and even then only certain exotics (like Lambos) qualify.
You can buy a new Subaru Forester (bottom of the range) for R340k. And because it is new you can probably bargain with them to get it reduced.
Honestly, if they weren't so thirsty (relatively) and my foot wasn't as heavyit would be my next car. The only real problem is finding a dealership when you want to service the car etc.
Here we go again on consumption..................WRONG!! The old Forester XT was heavy on gas, yes....so it's only a problem if you are buying a 2007 model... Frigging CAR magazine figures are all based on the XT which has completely skewed peoples' perception. A modern Forester will give you single figures / 100 km even if you drive like a poepal.

No you won't :\
I drove the new Automatic 2.5 like a poepol and consumption went over 20L/100km. If you drive in perfect conditions you get high 8's. Claimed is 8.5 I think.
Which isn't low...
Why don't they have diesels for the Forester?
