...by selling a majority stake to a Chinese state-owned establishment. Not sure I understand how that would help exactly but if the targeted scrutiny was purely on Huawei inc. then alright.

Trump's beef was with Huawei for some reason.

The last time any decent Honor device was affordable, was 2018. Good luck with competing with Xiaomi. They are growing at break-neck speed and my prediction is that they will overtake Huawei by end 2021.

Yeah Xiaomi has come a long way from putting fake modules in their phones. My Redmi Note 2 had a fake Samsung camera in it.
