I've noticed no matter what language setting you, surround, original or family, theres always a blank when foul language is said. Is any1 sitting with the same problem. Parental controls is off.

If I put it on normal it doesnt blank out but setting the default language to normal in the setting page doesn't work. It just defaults to Family.

depends on the channel - some channels blank it out completely regardless of what option you choose.

yes nice of them to CONTROL what language I listen to. Try watching rugby!! I set it to ENGLISH and within 2min its switches back to Afrikaans all by itself WTF!! Oh and my personal favourite - try changing channels and then go back to yr main viewing channel and u guessed it - its back to Afrikaans!! despite me setting my preferences to ENGLISH!! WTF!!

Seem to be more and more hassles with DSTV. Maybe it's time to cancel the service, I can get better movies at the video store and I don't think that I want to watch the rugby and cricket anymore ....

some movies also do their own sensoring.... and nothing dstv can do will undo that....

I don;t think any channels on the Compact boquet sensor anything, because I've not experienced any blanking. I'm on the 'el cheap 1110

BBC lifestyle's Gordon Ramsay Kitchen nightmares is language sensored which is normally not?

What the hell is going on with DSTV?
I also noticed that when a movie's swearing is censored and you change the language to original, you get a very poor quality alternate sound stream and end up being forced to listen to one only!

Very irritating indeed.

This is baffling me. Isn't MyBB the preeminent forum for modern technology in a South African context?

Why aren't there more managers and employees, of the places we seem to gripes with, here on this forum. So that they can hear first-hand what need fixing.

Logic would make you think that way, right!! There are a some forums that have reps assigned to monitor the compliments and complaints, but the majority just don't give a rats behind.

Multichoice don't care. Their slogan "So much more", have never been more misleading.
