Tata Sky DTH service now gives you the power to select individual channels to make your own customised DTH package. Choose channels on an ‘a la carte’ basis and create your own DTH package or mix & match by adding individual channels to your existing genre based (TruChoice) DTH packages.

Purchasing power, they have more subscribers, channels are sold to DSTV on how many subscribers they have, one of the reasons Starsat doesn't have the clout.
We are a small population able to actually buy anything compared to most other counties. So we have to put up with expensive things because it's a luxury.

Remember the good old days of buy pre-compiled CD's or records, where you had to buy the whole album to listen to one or two songs you liked

Yeah, for international they mean multichoice Africa probably

Notice the sports bundles as a separate item? If you use virgin media or BT you can get different bundles too

Multichoice has almost the same number of subscribers as TataSky. You have to remember that the majority of Multichoice subscribers are not in South Africa but Nigeria, with other African countries having slightly lower numbers.
